Revival Fire for Kids History
In 1987, Tamera Kraft was appointed children’s pastor at her local church. She had no idea what she was getting in to. All she knew was she had a vision from God to lead children to have a radical relationship with Jesus Christ, a supernatural encounter with the Holy Spirit, and to experience true revival.
Since then, she’s learned a lot. She was a children’s pastor for 20 years in two churches in Ohio. During that time, she received the 2007 Shephard’s Cup for lifetime achievement in children’s ministry. More important, she raised up generations of children who love Jesus, many of whom are serving in ministry.
Shortly after that, God called her to start Revival Fire for Kids, a ministry that would travel to different churches and lead children into revival and equip children’s pastors and leaders to do the same. That expanded to writing children’s church curriculum,
Building Pentecostal Foundations, that teaches children on a deeper level and encourages them to experience God.
Wanting to offer a way to provide recourses and online support, Tamera Kraft created Ignite, an extension of Revival Fire for Kids where children’s leaders can go online for monthly coaching, mentorship, and leadership development.
Tamera has been married to Rick since 1979 and has two children. Her son, Jonathan, is married, has two children and lives in Cleveland, Tennessee, and her daughter, Veronica, is married, has two children. She is a Christian Mental Health Counselor and is on the ministry team with her husband at her local church.
Tamera also is an author of Christian historical fiction. Find her published novels at her author website.
“Rick and Tamera Kraft’s integrity and reputation precedes them; their honor for godly authority guides them, and their anointed and impactful ministry is changing the lives of children and children’s ministry leadership.
