The Colors of Easter

Updated from an earlier post. Here are meanings you can teach children for colors associated with Easter.

Yellow: Radiance of Jesus who is the light of the world.

Green: Nature, Life, Jesus is the resurrection and the life.

Red: The blood of Jesus

White: Sins are washed away, Purity

Pink: Red and white together make pink. Jesus’ blood washed our sins away.

Purple: Royalty, Jesus is the King of Kings.

Black: Sin, Darkness.

Orange: Hope, the dawn of a new day.

Navy Blue: The night sky. During the crucifixion, the sky turned dark.
