Subject: updated info from Church of God world missions….
Dr. Elysee Joseph, Overseer of the Church of God in Haiti, has died.
He and his driver met veteran missionaries Lovell and Virginia Cary, and Lloyd Frazier at the airport in Port-au-Prince to welcome them to Haiti for the National Convention. As they were traveling to a hotel, a 20 foot wall, due to the earthquake, fell on their vehicle.
The overseer was killed. He is survived by his wife, and children. The Carys and Brother Frazier are safe and are now in the Dominican Republic recovering from their injuries.
Please continue to pray and intercede for our people’s safety and provisions through this devastation that has interrupted there lives.
Although this ministry is interdenominational, I am a member of the Church of God. I pray God comforts the overseerers family as well as all of the families of people who have died in this devastating earthquake. I don’t know how many ministers, missionaries, and servants of God have died, but I know God holds them in the palm of his hand.
