30 Day Ministry Challenge Day 7

30 day ministry challenge logoPraise the Lord

Psalm 150  Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.

Today’s challenge is to praise the Lord. We all need to take time out of our busy schedules to spend a day thinking about His goodness and mercy. That’s one reason the Sabbath was created. But ministers are so busy on Sundays, they rarely get to spend a day just praising God. So today is the day to get your praise on.

Read Psalm 150 again. Praise God for anything that occurs to you while you’re reading it.

Make a list of 10 things to praise God for. Then praise Him for each thing on the list.

Spend some time considering how God has moved throughout your life. Praise Him for it.

praise handsPlay praise music all day today. If you’re in children’s ministry, play music you use with your students. Sing along. If you play an instrument, praise God with instruments. If you can dance, even if you can’t, dance to the Lord.

Today is not a catch up day. It’s not a day to work on the million things you have to do. That was yesterday. This is your day to rest in the presence of God.

30 DAY LIFE CHALLENGE (2)You don’t need to worry about the 30 Day Life Challenge today. The life challenge is the same as the ministry challenge.
