Biblical Foundations For Children Jesus Christ

Most of the time, the main difference between true Christianity and a cult or false religion stems from what we do with Jesus. Jesus knew this and asked His disciples who men said He was. There were a lot of different answers. But when Jesus asked who the disciples believed He was, Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”

It is important for children to know who Jesus Christ really is so they won’t be deceived. Here’s some Biblical foundations to teach them about Jesus:

Jesus Christ is fully God. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He is the first and the last, the beginning and end, the only Begotten Son of the Father. He is the creator of all things. He is eternal. He is the second person of a triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is also fully man, born of a virgin mother. Although Joseph was Mary’s husband and Jesus’ adopted father, Jesus did not have an Earthy father.

Jesus is without sin. He is the only one ever to be tempted in all things but did not sin.

Jesus suffered, died on the cross shedding his blood, was buried, and rose again in three days for the atonement of our sins. He now sits at the right hand of God making intercession for us.

Believing upon Jesus Christ and his atonement for our sins is the only way we can be saved.
