I pray you all have a blessed new year. Every year, I set goals based on where I believe God is leading me. The goals for Revival Fire for Kids Ministry in 2010 are listed here. But many times, as the new year approaches, God also puts a vision, or a glimspe of what He intends to do or wants me to work at in my spirit. It could even be called a theme for the year.
Last year, God called me to act out of faith, not out of fear. I admit now I needed that admonition. I had begun to work out whether certain things I felt led to do were practical. Nothing is practical when it comes to jumping out of the boat and following Jesus. Practical is an acceptable way of saying I wanted to be cautious, to act out of my fear instead of my faith. It wasn’t easy to do. At first, I had to step out while being afraid. But now that 2009 is coming to an end, I can say it’s been worth every step of faith I’ve taken. God has broken down the walls of fear I built to protect me.
Other years, some things that have been spoken to me were a year of change, sacrificing Isaac, obediance, get out of the boat, and stand firm.
This year is different. This year I’ve heard something spoken to me that I believe will be a turning point in my life and ministry. He has deposited in my spirit the theme for 2010 – Open Doors. God is about to move in mighty ways, and I need to be ready to walk through the door He opens. I don’t know what doors those will be, but I will watch for them and run through when I see them open.
Revelation 3:8 ( NLT ) I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.
God has a word for you this year as well, a path He wants you to take in 2010. I pray that God will lead you on that path and open the right doors for you. I am here to serve you and your children’s ministry wherever He leads. I also pray He breaths revival into you and the children you minister to in 2010. May you have a blessed new year.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT WORDS. ONLY GOD DIRECT ME TODAY TO READ IT.
God Bless you and keep you blessing others by this page.
Thank you, Sandra. I’m glad God used it to encourage you.
Hi Sandra
The very thing God spoke to you about in 2009 is exactly how I was feeling and God spoke to me . I ministered in fear but something happened this year where I have decided to step out and be ready to serve. Thank you your message has reaffirmed what God had already spoken. I too am a childrens church minister on Kangaroo Island SA. Our children have grown so much this last year and have the same focus revival for our kids. God Bless Your Ministry.
