Revival Fire For Kids In 2011

When I was first called to children’s ministry as a children’s pastor, God gave me a vision of a multitude of children praising and worshiping God. As I prayed about this vision, the Lord revealed to me that this vision was for an end times harvest.

He showed me a Great Awakening that would take place throughout the world before He comes back for His children. He showed me it would take place in two waves. The first wave would be for those who would equip: pastors, children’s pastors and evangelists, youth pastors and evangelists, prophets, etc. But this is the exciting part. When the main wave, the second wave comes, it will start with the children, spread to the youth, and then reach the adults.

Joel 2:28(NLT) Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.

Notice He starts with sons and daughters. This revival won’t be for individual churches or communities. It will be a worldwide move of God.

I originally assumed that I would be a part of the Great Awakening in my local church, but God had other plans. A little over three years ago, God directed me to resign from my position as a children’s pastor and become a full-time children’s ministry consultant and revivalist and a writer. I’ve obeyed this command by starting Revival Fire For Kids Ministry where I can help equip children’s pastors for the coming revival and lead children into the presence of God through kid’s crusades.

In the last month, I’ve felt a powerful stirring inside of me. I know others have as well. Revival is breaking out, not in churches, but in the hearts of people who minister to children. I don’t know what this will mean in the coming year. Normally I set goals for the year, but this year, I’m just going along for the ride.

If you feel the Lord leading you to have us at your church, please contact us. I strongly feel that this year, there are certain churches where the Holy Spirit has assigned Revival Fire For Kids to be.

Revival is a word used often in the church. When I speak of revival, it will always include the following: repentance, prayer, worship, God’s Word being preached, and people being saved as well as God’s Spirit being poured out on all people especially children. If it doesn’t change lives, it’s not revival. By Great Awakening, I mean a revival that sweeps throughout the land and isn’t in only one local church or community.

Revival Fire For Kids Goals for 2010

Revival Fire For Kids is a young ministry, only two years old, that started out of a burden the Lord placed on my heart to minister to children’s pastors and help them lead their students into the presence of God. But I’m not new to children’s ministry. I was a children’s pastor for twenty years on staff at two churches. In 2007, I was honored with the NCLA (National Children’s Leaders Association) Shepherd’s Cup in appreciation for a lifetime of ministry to children. I’ve taught at national children’s conferences and have ministered to a multitude of children in churches, youth camps, parks, neighborhoods, and camp meetings. I’ve also had children’s church curriculum published and am a freelance writer for David C. Cook. More importantly, I know what it is like to be in the trenches at the front line of children’s ministry. God has given me a mission and calling to serve you, the children’s ministry pastor and leader.

I’ve been in a time of prayer recently and have felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to set certain goals for 2010. I’m sharing these goals with you and asking you to support this ministry with your prayers.

Here are the goals for Revival Fire For Kids 2010:

Schedule more kid’s crusades and children’s ministry events.

Emphasis leading children into the presence of God.

Provide more resources in the Revival Fire For Kids Webstore.

Do more teacher training and on site children’s ministry consultations.

Plan an inner city missions trip to the Cleveland/Akron/Canton, Ohio area for Children’s pastors to bring their students to do missions ministry. Our first missions trip will be in the summer of 2011. Look for more details as the year progresses.

Develop and provide a SWAT (Spiritual Warfare Advanced Training) Ministry Packet to help children’s pastor train their students to do ministry.

Announce on January 15th information for the Ignite Mentoring Program for children’s pastors at a price even small churches can afford.
